We're playing a 4-2-3-1 formation with one of the best goalkeepers in recent years, in Jan Oblak, between the posts In front of him is the CB pairing of the arsenal legend Tony Adams and the Uruguayan stalwart Diego Godin, well known for steering Atletico to two European finals & a league title. On left-wing, we have perhaps the greatest LB of all time in Roberto Carlos and in front of him, the great Ryan Giggs. Completing the right flank is the solid Ivanovic, who has the speedy & rapidly improving Raheem Sterling. The two wingers will flank one of the most prolific strikers of his time, Frenchman, Jean-Pierre Papin Known for his lethal goalscoring instincts, the original "fox in the box" who also specialises in long-range stunners. Now coming to our midfield, which has a trio of Europeans, with Ballack holding the fort in the centre of the park, with tackling and distribution partnered by one of the greats, Clarence Seedorf, who will be responsible for both holding the fort in defence & joining the attacks. David Silva, the Spanish magician, who with his immense playmaking skills will always be looking find the quick wingers or the overlapping fullbacks. So, as Ballack & Seedorf hold the middle, Giggs & Sterling will keep the opposition fullbacks occupied, allowing Carlos and Ivanovic to bomb forward & find Papin. If that route is blocked, there's always Silva, ready with a silky through ball, or Seedorf with one of his long-range passes to find Papin, who I don't think will miss any chance. If all this isn't enough, with the likes of Carlos, Silva, Giggs, we have enough experts in a dead ball situation & the trio of Ivanovic, Godin, Adams can pretty much outmuscle anyone in the air. Silva, not being very physically intimidating, can draw out tactical fouls without being going into the referee's book to add to the opposition's frustration. Captain- Giggs Set piece taker- R Carlos
