In my opinion, this formation would get the best out of the current Arsenal squad. All of their forward options provide flexibility by being able to play wide, but prefer to play centrally: Welbeck and Podolski on the left, Sanchez and Walcott on the right. They've a wealth of good attacking central midfielders, who are often asked to do a job out wide. This formation accommodates all of the above without compromising their strengths in the middle of the park. Under Wenger Arsenal have always had good attacking full backs, With the addition of a strong holding midfielder (they must be kicking themselves about Alex Song), I believe this formation, with its flexibility, could do some serious damage. The only players who wouldn't be accommodated would be Giroud and Sanogo...oh well.
