I've been wanting to share this for a while now. This is a tight 3-1-3-3. There are no defensive wingers in this formation which means when we defend the wingers will only come to around the halfway point. The defensive tactic would be to allow the opposition to exploit the wings and get a lot of crosses in the box. Now when we defend we will have all 7 players inside the box (3 CBs, Pirlo, 3 CMs) to defend their crosses. Any attempt of a long shot would be blocked by Pogba (if in range of shooter) if not the wingers would be the ones to stop any attempt of a long shot. If a counter attack can be initiated this is where our wingers will come into play. Now in attack one option would be to create space in between the CB and LB/RB using the movement of the striker. When the space is created either the wingers will make runs into that space following the option to play a ball through that space is available or the LCM/RCM will make a run through that gap.
