The Norwegians of the Copernic FC are tall, strong and fast. They tend to play down the lines where they have fast runners that cut to the edge of the box to shoot or deliver running crosses for their powerfull strikers. They tend to keep a high defensive line and play the offside trap. Our chance of winning this is defending the wings really well, stopping those crosses from coming in and use the counter attack down the middle. Their tackles are fair but hard, so keeping the ball for too long is not a good idea, especially in our third. Ideally we will have a pass build up play down the middle and through passes for the strikers behind their defensive line. We need to keep moving, run into spaces and try passes on future positions and keep the ball low as much as possible as they clearly have the hight advantage. We will play with a defensive line of 4, with fullbacks not making offensive runs down the line. They will try to break up attacks on the wings around the 25 yards mark. CDMs will cover behind the fullbacks and "fake" wingers will support in defence. CBs will hold the line and mind the strikers positions. On the offensive, we will need to bring the ball down the middle. The "fake" wingers will run on the inside looking for spaces and trying to drag defenders away from the main striker. SS will need to come down for the build up play and will be assisted by on CDM. Defense will hold up the line so we won't be caught on advanced positions for counters. Take as many shooting opportunities around the 17yards mark as possible. Renato, Keith, Dog, Hamid all have a good shoot, so if there's a chance, take it.
