This (4-2-3-1) formation is perfect for Juventus because this formation is one of the widest formations in football which Juventus plays in a wide mindset. This formation is a balanced formation although, it is more on the offensive side. Juventus used this formation really well, they moved the ball up field together. When Juventus are defending, all 11 players move more towards the side the ball is on. Higuain and Dybala are mostly the one in Juventus who presses the opponent's defense. Before this formation was used for Juventus, they used a formation on a very balanced mindset (like the current formation), the 3-5-2 formation. It didn't really fit Juventus as they struggled to play on the offensive side. They knew that they needed a change because most teams could easily analyse their tactics.
