The first Rhystic United trophy win, a 1-0 victory over odds-on Valhalla FC. This legendary team featured two energetic, powerful sidebacks and a solid central defence well organized by top quality goalkeeper Giovanni Riva. Tahirovic and Morozov formed a well assorted midfield partnership with the former being more of a shuttler and the latter, a natural central defender, sitting back more. In the final third, inside forward Charles Chapman provided flair on the left flank while Peralta on the right was more like a classic winger. The real tactical novelty resided in attacking midfielder Nunez, naturally a pure target-man striker with a less than spectacular scoring record before this season, deployed in the hole behind goal poacher Luke Kelly: playing a direct passing style, the Argentinian often won second balls and held up play long enough for the rest of the attacking partners to get into dangerous positions and make themselves available for runs in behind the opposition's defence.
