Arsenal were flying players forward in this important match. Gibbs and Sagna almost acted as wide mid-fielders, with Sagna dropping back a little to help Koscielny and Mertesacker. Up-front, it was rather messy, with Giroud often dropping out to the wings and Ramsey taking his space. This bamboozled the Hull defence, along with Ozil dropping on to the wing as well to aid Podolski with his great passing. Arteta remained in the middle of the park, setting play up beautifully and also defending well. When Hull were on a fast-paced attack, many of Arsenal's attacking players came back to defend, especially Cazorla for his skill and Giroud for his heading ability.
