Arsenal have named five central midfielders and don't have the pace on the right flank provided by Theo Walcott or Serge Gnabry, but Kieran Gibbs can provide pace overlapping on the left flank. If he does however, Arsenal must be sure to have someone avoid exposing the slow Per Mertesacker to the direct Jose Callejon on the right. Without striker Gonzalo Higuain in the starting XI, Rafa Benitez has named three versatile forwards and should Goran Pandev and Lorenzo Insigne drop back, Callejon will excel at darting into any space created. The Gunners have added defensive nous and potential for ball-retention by adding Mikel Arteta alongside Mathieu Flamini, while Napoli lack the natural finishing of Higuain. So the Gunners may be served well by looking to surprise their opponents by refusing to be drawn forward, and instead looking to counter-attack themselves.
