Style: Possession, Defend in a Medium Block Roles: Goalie - command the backline + sweep if necessary CBs - control the line of the team + stay tight + shift with the ball LWB/RWB - raid in attack + defend when other wing back is attacking + option to exit own half when moving ball out from the back. Defensive Mids - shield the CBs + fill in for Wing Backs in attack + distribute ball to mids & wing backs + control possession of the ball Left/RIght Centre Mids - box to box in the half spaces + control their side of the field by creating space & transitioning ball into attack CAM - drop deep to link with mids + play ball into Striker + make runs from deep (almost as a second striker at times) Striker - hold up ball + run diagonals to open space for CAM + stay in box for crosses
