GK - slow down play, mixture of long and short balls, play out from the back if possible. RB/LB - Up and down the line, look for the run of the wingers/striker over the top, pass inside to midfield if needs be. Slow down opposition wing play, lead them out wide. CBs - Stoppers, nothing gets past, beware of over the top passes, remain cautious but get stuck in CM - Deep Lying Playmaker - stay in middle third of the pitch Attacking - Search for passes, high tempo Defending - Sit just in front of back line, close down passing lanes. RCM - Join attacking 5 when on attack, high tempo, balls out wide or over the top LAM - Mezzala - creativity, run with the ball, look for the strikers runs in behind, good vision. LW - Run at the defence, cut inside and shoot/deliver early cross RW - " " " ST - Target man - quick to make runs, Mezzala will shadow the striker, play off each other, understand the roles of the other attackers.
