Sheffield Wednesday like to play a counter-attacking style of play, so this means that we need AT LEAST one player back, preferably a centre-half. They leave spaces open at the back sometimes, occasionally making the odd mistake leaving one or two players unmarked, especially in the box, which is where we HAVE TO TAKE OUR CHANCES. In terms of scoring goals, they like to play a similar style to us, delivering balls into the box for free headers, and they can be caught if the dangerous players i.e. Fletcher, Bannan are marked properly. For our play, SCRAP THE BALLS OUT FROM THE BACK, don't be afraid to hoof it up the field, get into good space, and ensure that you play with the passion, agression and fight which we haven't seen for much of the season. Richi needs to make sure that he supports Kean, as him up top alone makes him susceptible to strong and towering defenders. Delph needs to ensure that he supports Davies, providing defensive cover at all times, and being a leader on the pitch. If Digne is on the ball and he spots Bernard in space cutting in on the left, move towards the left and play the partnership. COYB!
