Formation which could be used under van Gaal as it is a derivative of a 4-3-3 i.e. Deep-lying playmaker, box-to-box midfielder plus a central attacking mid. Also would hypothetically solve the problem of playing Rooney, van Persie, Mata and Januzaj in the same team.
