Ndidi sits as a Holding Midfielder, just forward and between the two Centre-Halves, Ndidi defensively acts as a plug between the opposition player and their Striker. On Offense, he acts as both a distributer to the two central midfielders and safe retreat, allowing for the re-distribution of the ball. Kostas Tsimikas and Aaron Wan-Bissaka sit wide, but not forward and are at the disposal of the Centre Halves to gain width in opposition defence. In the result of a turnover the Full Backs are both already defensively set to track any opposing wingers. Tomori and Joe Gomez are the defensive line, albeit a low one, they are prime to track on a counter-attack but high enough to distribute passes between Ndidi and the two Full-Backs. Thiago and James are assigned as Central Midfielders and prioritise a central ball to Rodrigo's feet, they both sit at an angle from their Winger and Rodrigo, which allows both passes depending on the actions of the opposition Centre Halves. Ndidi is the outlet pass to reset an attack. Rodrigo is the focal point of attack, most balls go to his feet as a Target man, this allows space behind for a 1-2-through pass for Bale or Berjwein, to run onto, otherwise Rodrigo is able to turn his man and shoot on the left.
