My most successful tactical formation in Fm 2008 with most Successful and most played players over all seasons My game plan was to let the players play as fluidly and creatively as they wanted when opponents have their defense in order. In defense we play with 3 center backs 2 wing-backs encouraging opponents to run past our Wing-backs which are usually too high up either on purpose or returning from offensive duties. Other teams will usually end up attacking down the wing any how as my central players don't usually support attack much this usually leads to crosses into box which defenders/goalkeeper with excellent heading and team work deal with easily. Once ball has been won the wide players all rush forward while central players play passing triangles up the field before inevitable though ball that wider players with moment put into goal or pass to goal poacher striker for simple finish. These tactics should work against all types of philosophies as so long as your players fit the tactic.
