Chile, renowned for their pressure, pace, movement and attacking, went head-to-head with Spain and were, for much of the game, the better side with the world champions equalising in stoppage time. Without Valdivia Vidal was pushed higher up the pitch linking play between the midfield and the two roaming forwards. Sanchez likes coming deeper to get the ball to play balls in behind the defence for Vargas and Isla who he enjoys a great relationship with. Marcelo Diaz was excellent as always.
