"Man *" man marks their near post guy and marks corner taker if the opposition takes the corner short. "Man **" man marks one of their guys and marks their player who is passed the ball if they take a short corner. Zonal guys stand along the six year box in a line. "Man" man mark their attackers. Clean Up guys should finish clearing the ball if it comes to them. If the counter attack is on, then we can try it. On the other hand, we sometimes try when it isn't on. If our clean up guy has his back to their goal, he probably isn't going to be able to turn. Instead, he should complete the clearance by hitting the ball down toward one of their corners. Additionally, if the opposition has loaded the box, they will likely need to follow a man in and mark him.
