We shouldn't treat goal kicks entirely like an attacking move. More realistically, we want to minimize the potential for the opposition to get an attack from it. This assumes the goal kick is on the left side. Ideally, we should be looking to hit a ball into the box on the left. Furthermore, it should be as far left as possible. If it goes out for a throw in, that's okay. Our LW, LB, CF & CM should look to flick the ball down the line, unless someone else (other CM, RW, etc) has made a good run. As an alternative, which we shouldn't use very frequently, we can hit a ball out to the RB. Again, he should look to flick the ball down the line. In this scenario, the RW will have to look to get over to help out quickly.
