Eriksen is the playmaker and makes most of the passes in possession, while Ramires aims to use his stamina and make himself available for a quick sideways pass or close down the opponent and tackle as soon as his midfield partner loses possession. Hazard and Cuadrado are to close down the opposition full-backs and make runs in behind to disrupt the offside trap - Hazard cuts inside more than Cuadrado, whose main aim is to get past his man and cross onto Costa. Wing-backs keep the width of the pitch when wingers are inside, When possession is lost, both wing-backs and the playmaker come back to support the defence, while Ramires sniffs out an opportunity to close the opposition player down before he gets to the defensive line. All three forwards make themselves available to a quick counter - Hazard may come back to help in defense when needed.
