Main idea of 4-2-1-3 is to install Mbappe in the starting eleven for Real Madrid's next season. His presence in as a secondary striker helps the attack much stronger and the midfield three can be used by switching between Mbappe and Bale as the latter was strongly suffered by acute injury last season. This formation helps when Zidane wants to use all prime attackers on the pitch with double pivot of Kroos-Modric or Isco/Casemiro-Kovacic or with alternate CMs along with Llorente and Ceballos for the contribution. Asensio is the key substitute, more vital than last season. His combination along with Mbappe in CF and Bale or Isco in the CAM will be highly effective.
