I would love to see this(reasonable) lineup. With de Gea in goal after another impressive season. The back four with Rafael on the right, Jonny Evans and Chris Smalling, in the center, and a new addition, Luke Shaw, at left back replacing Patrice Evra. Luke Shaw would be a good replacement for Patrice who will most likely be following Vidic to Inter this summer. In the defensive midfield I have Michael Carrick and Phil Jones. The reason I have Jones in the midfield instead of center back is because the defensive midfield was probably the worst position for Man U last year and Jones could be bumped up and play that role with Carrick. In the attack I have Mata, Rooney, and Januzaj which should not be a surprise to anyone. I also think Rooney will replace Vidic as captain for Man U for the long run. And up top, this is not as big as a surprise as people think. Van Persie's future with Man U is in the air because of age and injury which kept him out a lot this past year. So Edinson Cavani could replace him. Man U has been planing to get rid of Nani for a long time and I've heard a lot of rummers of him being swapped for Cavani at PSG. I think Cavani could be a really good striker for United, and, even if Van Persie gets better, they could play the 4-4-2 with Cavani and Van Persie playing up top together which would be deadly. This is probably the most likely lineup for Man U for the 2014-2015 season.
