The offensive shape of my fluid 442 preferred system. In possession, the system provides both width and a strong range of diamonds across the pitch. As the defensive runs show, out of possession (assuming the opposition defeat the quick counter-press) the team falls back into a compact 442 shape to limit space between the lines and prepare for a counter attack.
